JD Souther to be featured in Les Paul Tribute
On November 19th, JD joins a select and diverse group of artists paying tribute to the late, great Les Paul who passed away this past August at the age of 94. Like Les Paul, JD Souther was a jazz musician who took his jazz background and moved into the pop music world as a hitmaker. Sponsored by Gibson Guitars, Coca-Cola & the Hard Rock Cafe, a star studded tribute to the famous inventor/ raconteur/hitmaker/guitar legend will take place at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and feature performances by not only JD Souther backed by the Les Paul Trio but country artists Steve Wariner, John Rich, Emerson Drive as well as rock guitar slingers Steve Miller, Zakk Wylde, Charlie Daniels and Jennifer Batten. Josh Kelly, Anna Wilson and Sarah Partridge will also perform.
